OUTREACH 500 Update
July 2006
It seems that the car is now only days away from completion. While in
Ballarat the other day dropping off some electrical parts for the dash,
Steve Carter seemed to think it was just about there. It has been a long
wait in one way, but time was needed to get the workshop ready, it was a
blessing in another way.
Once we have the car it will go straight to Ray Blick Signs of Geelong to
have the final artwork done. Ray is great with a brush and I'm keen to see
what we get as a final product. From there we hope to be at Richmond for the
Men's Conference in July. Mark Bateman from Chaplaincy Australia has asked
us to have the car there. After that we are to be at the official opening
of the Suregrip Ceramics new shop in Geelong.
I must say the workmanship on the machine is first rate. It is a credit to
Steve and in some ways a shame to get it dirty (and dare I say, banged up-as
it no doubt will) from being on the race track. We will be off to the
Formula 500 Association AGM in a week or so. There we will be officially
registered as a rookie for the 2006/2007 season. I have to laugh as Kev will
probably be the oldest rookie around, I think. Now that's funny.
Stay tuned for some more photos of the car that will be up on the site soon.
Again don't be afraid to write to us via the attached address.
God bless and
talk again soon
