OUTREACH 500 Update 6th August 2006 Kev is busy getting his medical (being the oldest "Rookie" in the business, there's a lot to check!) The rest of the "hands on" team are also getting the necessary paperwork finalized for the new season. As soon as the car has completed it's first round of sponsorship commitments at Suregrip Ceramics, it's back to Ballarat for final adjustments so we can begin testing. Kev's having fun making new bits for the car. He's spent many long, cold, happy hours in the workshop (he's put a heater on his shopping list) making extra guards for the engine and personal safety items. We're also looking for used tyres to fit to the car so we can clock up some track time and save the new ones for the real thing. Kev's checking out times when other drivers will be doing private practices so he can find out how competitive he is in relation to them and what he needs in order to set the car up. We're still looking for a trailer or some sort of towing vehicle. A small, enclosed truck would do the job, but it needs to fit our budget.......any ideas? We thank God for the input and support of many and continue to rely on Him as we move forward with the preparation work. We're all excited about the future and can't wait to see #66 on the track.
